Humacao is located in the eastern side of the island bordered by other three cities, Yabucoa at the South , Naguabo at the North, Las Piedras at the west and the Vieques passage at the eastern side. The city has a population of 62,244 people as the 2000 US Census. The city has 13 wards. They are :Mabu ,Mambiche,Mariana, Anton Ruiz, Buena Vista, Candelero Arriba, Candelero Abajo, Catano, Collores, Junquito, Rio Abajo, Tejas, Punta Santiago. The city rivers are Humacao, AntonRuiz an Candelero. There are two cays that belongs to the city, Santiago and Batata. Other two city islands are near us Vieques and Culebra. 04/16/2008
